Miryam Wassef, LCSW
Miryam Wassef is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working at the Therapy Cypress office as an independent contractor. She has a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston and a Master's in Social Work from the Graduate College of Social Work.
Miryam has served as a social worker in the Houston area for the past 8 years. She has worked with children in foster care, families of hospitalized children and Veterans. She has assisted clients who have struggled with their emotions due to depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, family issues, and trauma. She also works in the field of mental health research, evaluating the use of technology to facilitate psychotherapy.
Miryam has training in and uses the following therapy techniques to help you reach your goals: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Outside of the office, Miryam enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter, and is actively involved in her church.
